About The Rev'd Canon Dr Jim -

The Rev’d Canon Dr Jim McPherson is a retired Anglican priest, who has served in the Dioceses of Canberra-Goulburn, Brisbane (Principal of St Francis College 1991-98), and Sydney; his last appointment was to St Paul’s, Maryborough, until he retired to Coolum Parish in 2014. Canon Jim holds a BSc (Hons 1) and PhD from UNSW in Mathematics and a BTh (Hons 1) and a MLitt from Durham University. He has published two collections of poetry (To Tease Our Knowing and The Gravity of Odd) and several hymns, as well as articles in theological journals.
