Fraser Coast Anglican College Junior School staged the musical The Jungle Book in 2018. College principal Joe Wright said the performing arts served to build confidence in students, developed positive relationships by working as a team and offered them an opportunity to showcase their talents.

Churchie’s annual Billy Cart Grand Prix is a highlight of the year. Held on June 21, the final day of term two, parents, grandparents, siblings and friends lined the popup raceway on Oaklands Parade to cheer teams from Years 4 to 6. Congratulations to the 2018 champions, team Star Fighter (Hugh Agnew, Benjamin Andrews and Thomas Dwyer). The event fosters teamwork between students and brings families together to plan, build and race their billy carts and fundraise with this year’s proceeds going to World Vision.

Three years in the making, a replica WWI trench has been created at St Paul’s School at Bald Hills to give students some understanding of the hardships faced by soldiers and will become a permanent classroom for history, science, nutrition and construction studies.
