Welcome to anglican focus, the official news site of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland (ACSQ). Our Diocese covers a geographical area of over 500,000 square kilometres, including metropolitan, regional and remote areas and urban, desert, rainforest and coastal terrain. Communities in this vast area are served by over 130 parishes, 20 Anglican schools, a theological college and Anglicare Southern Queensland’s community services. anglican focus reflects this rich diversity.
People across our Diocesan community contribute stories, reflections, features, devotions, Q&A interviews, reviews, images and video content. I hope you find our news site informative, engaging and nourishing.

Welcome to anglican focus. Our Diocesan news publication embraces a ‘community collaboration’, rather than ‘staff writer’, model and offers an alternative to both mainstream media and other Christian news sites. Collaborating daily with diverse people across our Diocesan community in the running of the news site is thoroughly enjoyable and an enormous privilege.

Welcome to anglican focus and I hope you’re enjoying the wide variety of news, feature articles and reflections on offer. The ongoing strength of this publication relies on your story ideas from across the Diocesan community, so I encourage you to please contact me if you’d like to discuss further how to contribute to the site – focus@anglicanchurchsq.org.au.
In addition to writing for the publication I will be assisting with the production of digital media content such as video and audio interviews. We regularly showcase videos from across the life of the Church via the ‘Out & About’ section so please check there regularly for short video snapshots of our churches, schools and agencies.
