On 19 May 2020, Coral Mungomery of the St John's, Hervey Bay branch of AMUA packed 'blessing bags' with seven prettily wrapped small gifts including a Bible verse, a message of love and instructions to open one each day of the week. These are given to members of AMUA and parish family and friends in times of serious illness, grief or times of other special need.

Coomera Anglican College Facebook on 28 May 2020: "Year 12 Visual Art students, collectively, implemented their ‘Imaginarium’ photo shoot today. The Senior class utilised The Pod, our future-focused centre located in the Primary campus, which features the latest in immersive and interactive technology. The Pod has been designed to take learning out of the traditional classroom. The photo shoot coincided with the 'Art as Alternate' unit. Each slide was purposely creative and put together by Mikayla Melhem, to enhance each photographic scene. This week Ms Liz Hampson wanted her students to go straight back to being creative and innovative."

While a small section of the maritime community know who we are and what we do, that group is growing organically within our wider community through broader communications, social media, networking, Brisbane Open House and the traditional media. Thanks to these communications channels, wonderful people like Jan Kemp and her friends from RQYS (Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron) who heard about our donation campaign through the MSQ Bulletin, have put together a compilation of games, books and activities for distribution to our seafarers in our 'care packages'. It was an opportunity for our younger students to get active and also a practical way for the Year 11 Fitness class to apply their learning from this term.
