Bishop John Roundhill Facebook on 21 September 2020: "A Sunday Selfie from the Church of St Michael and All Angels, Moggill-Mount Crosby parish. The service was as fun as this photo suggests. Thank you to all who were there and online, for making it so. I am aware of what a privilege it is to be able to go to church in person."

Bishop Jeremy Greaves Facebook on 25 September 2020: "It was a great celebration at Carindale this evening as Nicole Anderson was commissioned as priest in charge and Bishop John reminded us that God has given us a future that is bigger than the past. Anglicare SQ Facebook on 18 September 2020: "The six Henny Penny Chickens – four red and two black – have been living at Kirami Residential Home in Hervey Bay since their incubation. Staff and residents doted on the eggs and eagerly awaited the chicks' arrivals. All six have easygoing and sociable personalities that have given a new spark of life to the home, and the residents as well. Reva, a resident at the home, has grown particularly fond of the chickens – who she can see from her window each morning: 'They are the first things I look for when I open the curtains in the morning, and that brings a smile to your face,' says Reva. 'Every morning I enjoy feeding them, I get a sense they get excited when they see me coming out with their feed!' Kirami’s Diversional Therapist, Lorna Smith said the chickens have brought joy to our residents and we have now started collecting their eggs to gift to the residents' families and friends."

The Abri residents were over the moon and received so much joy from such a little puppy. Charlie Brown is nine weeks old and in training to regularly visit Abri for lots of welcoming tail wags and happiness. A very big welcome to this special member of the Abri team."

Bishop Jeremy Greaves Facebook on 27 September 2020: "On Sunday I had the great privilege of confirming five young people at St Mark's at the Gap. It was wonderful to hear them all speak with passion and joy about why they wished to be confirmed. Diana Butler Bass reminds us that 'testimony' is one of the Sign Posts of Renewal in mainline congregations – and something that we should all practise!"

Tamborine Mountain hosts an annual Scarecrow Festival to celebrate and share the environment we enjoy. It has become a custom for St George’s Anglican Church to join in the festivities by displaying a scarecrow of their own. This year we had three: The Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow, all characters from The Wizard of Oz. Lacking courage, heart and wisdom our scarecrows find them in the Bible as the accompanying verses show. The Lion finds courage in Deuteronomy 31.6: Be of good courage…for the Lord will not fail you. The Scarecrow finds wisdom in James 1.5: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without. The Tin Man finds heart in Psalm 34.18: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Pictured: parishioners Gisela Meehl and Jenny Peat with locum Fr Ken Spreadborough and the scarecrows.

Thank you to Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farms for stopping by and to our Pre-Prep families whose generous donations on this dress-up day raised $240 for Fiver for a Farmer."

On Sunday 13 September 2020, St. Andrew's Springfield held a private outdoor service on the school oval instead of the usual public service at Spring Lake Park. It was wonderful to be able to gather as a church again, with the correct procedures put in place, and a great time to continue to encourage one another to persevere in these challenging times. Chloe was the first to share encouraging words to the rest of the congregation in our open mic section.
