2024 Ordination of deacons and priests

God willing, the Archbishop will ordain as deacons and priests the following candidates on Saturday 7 December 2024, 10 am in St John’s Cathedral:
Deacons: Mr Richard Butler, Ms Lydia Fairhall, Ms Sara Hansen, Ms Kate Littmann-Kelly, Mr Matthew Siggins & Ms Nia Viviani.
Priests: The Rev’d Lyn Priscilla & The Rev’d Courtney Smith.

The Archbishop is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Steven Schwarzrock as the new Archdeacon of Lilley.  Steven will be collated during Holy Week, at the Annual Chrism Eucharist to be held in St John’s Cathedral on Tuesday 15 April 2025 at 7.00 pm. Prior to his collation Steven will act in the role.  Congratulations to Steven.

St Paul’s has one centre and is blessed with a large South Sudanese congregation. St Paul’s is located in Ipswich’s centre and has the oldest Anglican church building in Queensland.
