Chance to win an iPad for you and your priest or chaplain

To celebrate the second birthday of anglican focus going online, we are giving away two iPads: one to a reader and one to the winning reader’s nominated priest or chaplain.

Terms and conditions

1. This competition is a promotion run by The Corporation of the Synod of the Diocese of Brisbane, trading as the Anglican Church Southern Queensland (‘ACSQ’) ABN 32 025 287 736 (‘Promoter’).
2. Information on competition eligibility and prizes form part of these terms and conditions (‘Terms’).
3. The competition commences at 10.30 am on Friday 2 October 2020 and closes at 12 noon on Monday 14 December 2020 (‘Promotion Period’).
4. To be eligible to win the Prize you must:
   -be a subscriber of the anglican focus e-news at the Draw Time on the Draw Date and, if applicable, on any redraw time and date; and
   -be a resident of Queensland, Australia.
5. Commission members and staff of the Parishes and Other Mission Agencies Commission (‘PMC’) and their immediate family members are ineligible to win.
6. Individuals are automatically entered into the competition if they meet the eligibility requirements set out in clauses 4 and 5 above.
7. Individuals may subscribe to the e-news by completing the online form at https://anglicanfocus.org.au/subscribe/ or by emailing first name, last name, email address and postcode to focus@anglicanchurchsq.org.au
8. Only one email address per individual will be included in the draw.
9. The competition will be drawn at 12 noon (‘Draw Time’) on Monday 14 December 2020 (‘Draw Date’), at 373 Ann St, Brisbane 4000.
10. Times quoted are in Australian Eastern Standard Time.
11. There will be one winner who will be chosen at random by a representative of the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The winner will receive an Apple voucher valued at AUD $600 (‘Prize’) to redeem an iPad. The winner’s nominated parish priest or chaplain will also receive an Apple voucher valued at AUD $600 to redeem an iPad (the nominated parish priest or chaplain must be a parish priest or chaplain of the ACSQ). Total prize value is AUD $1200.
13. The winner will be notified by email using the email address provided at the time of subscribing to the anglican focus e-news.
14. If the winner is unable to be contacted within three months of the draw, a redraw will occur. In the event that a redraw is required, it will be drawn by a representative of the promoter at 373 Ann St, Brisbane 4000 and the redraw winner will be notified by email using the email address provided at the time of subscribing to the anglican focus e-news.
15. If the competition winner is under 18 years of age at the Draw Date and Draw Time, the Prize will be sent by registered post to the winner’s legal parent/guardian.
16. The winning entrant will be announced in anglican focus and in other ACSQ media.
17. The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
18. Without limiting any other clause, the Promoter may at its discretion amend any aspect of this competition or these terms, subject to applicable laws and subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities.
19. The laws of Queensland govern this competition.
