World Week for Peace highlights creative solidarity, common fragility

Under the theme ‘Creative Solidarity in Common Fragility’, people of faith all over the world are encouraged to demonstrate the power of prayer during the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel, held annually between 13 and 21 September, and includes the International Day of Peace on 21 September. WCC and MECC appeal to EU for firm stance against Israel’s annexing of occupied Palestinian territory

In a recent joint letter to foreign ministers that are part of the European Union, the World Council of Churches (WCC) and Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) appealed for a firm and principled stance by the European Union against any annexation by Israel of occupied Palestinian territory in the West Bank
