About Archbishop Phillip Aspinall -

The Most Rev’d Dr Phillip Aspinall is the Archbishop of Brisbane. He has a BSc (Univ of Tas); Grad Dip RE (BCAE); BD (Hons) (MCD); PhD (Monash Univ); and, MBA (Deakin Univ). Dr Aspinall was consecrated Bishop in Adelaide in 1998 and Archbishop of Brisbane / Metropolitan Archbishop of the Province of Queensland in 2002. He was elected Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia in 2005 (served in that role until 2014) and has been the Chair of the General Synod Ecumenical Affairs Commission since 2016.
